About Subscribing

Welcome to the launch of  my ebook, Canary in a Cage and the opportunity to be a part of the unfolding story of Jenny Smith, accused of murdering her police officer husband in Jersey City in 1878.   Accused, arrested and facing death by hanging if convicted, it’s a fascinating tale of Victorian crime-solving, justice and tabloid journalism.

Instead of being just a “reader,” join me, the author, in an interactive adventure where you will get the skinny on my investigative and genealogical research as the story unfolds in a monthly series with new chapters delivered directly to you via email.  As you read each new set of chapters, I will be waiting for you to join in a conversation with me and other readers by posting your questions, comments and theories of the crime on this website’s Reader Forum.   Instead of a one-dimensional reading exercise, I want Canary in a Cage to be a collaboration . . . a private book club for author and readers.  Won’t you join me?

Subscribe to the entire series (the whole book) for a one-time cost of just $4.99 by clicking on the link on the above right under the “blogroll” heading.  Don’t be late, we’re starting the adventure in January!  Subscribe now!

    Bea,

Please let me know that you got my email resending Part One of Canary in a Cage which was originally sent to you on Jan. 15. I got an email receipt saying delivery was “successful” so I don’t know what the problem could be unless your email filter is treating my email address as “spam”. Please get back to me.
